Do You Have a Filmmaking Interest?
I think it's between an interest in making film and an interest in subjects that are usually approached in an academic setting. And so in a way though, it's always been a kind of difficult match. I had friends who had introduced me to Derrida and I had started attending lectures by Derrida over the Colonel Mausseperio. Then through a friend getting afflicted with AIDS and starting to think about how this theory could be used to really address political issues.
