Mummy Workshops - Are They Common?

In 2016, some Egyptologists went looking for evidence of how the ancient Egyptians mummified bodies. They lucked out at a burial complex just south of Cairo and found it was like a three-level mummy factory. The archaeologists who excavated it thinks that all the vessels and tools used to prepare a mummy couldn't be used again for a different person. So they had to be disposed of. After 50 or 60 years, they filled in the shaft, they sealed it up, and they used all the sort of used vessels as filler. When they excavated it, that meant that they had these labeled jars and bowls and all the things that they used that were intact.
