The Ideology of Xi Jinping
We have a tendency to underestimate how ideological Xi Jinping's regime is. American businessmen over the last two decades have spent time in Beijing and Shanghai. They come back saying, I've seen the future and it works. In reality, if you go away from the big cities, you discover that there is a world of economic trouble in the tier three cities. So we can expect this ideological tendency to become more pronounced as things go wrong economically.
