In the early Christian liturgy they're gathered in a house church remembering somebody and let's say that someone had an image or a relic of the saint to call them to mind. would show to him if he were alive with us right so you can't kiss him you can't do any of that but I'm confident that none of these things were actually the case. The apostles recognized that images can have sacred uses and that the veneration of saints can include images in the tradition all right.
