The Grace of the Moment and the Present Moment

Ruthie was diagnosed on Mardi Gras she said well I guess this is my Lent this is our Lent and it really was true. The cancer purified her and I think healed her soul to a remarkable degree Eric says in the book right after her diagnosis he lost it at God why did you let this happen to her so I don't believe God can will evil but he has permissive will it happened and he could have taken that away. She knew even if she died that his will would be accomplished and good things would come of it It could all be redeemed if only we could unite ourself to her suffering to look for ways to be more compassionate and merciful and out of it
