What's the Point of Restorative Justice?

I was thinking about how much then restorative justice is like so and abolitionism are absolutely needed because they're the only things that permit speaking. But there's no other way to speak without those. For that cultural healing to happen, people have to speak out about their own experiences. And it's a total confusion because one, that's not how the afterlife or reincarnation or any of that kind of stuff works. It wouldn't help me in any of those ways.
