Why Did You Draft Trey Lance?

Some people just gave the 49ers a pass on drafting Trey Lance. He threw the ball 15 times a game for 12 games in college. That's what he did. And that was his college career right? Like even hit the most important game of his one double A by the way. The second half of that game they win on Trey Lance's legs. They don't win with him throwing the ball. So there was a process that you had to go through and it felt like the Niners started that process after Garoppolo got hurt. Their team was still kind of good and they felt pause, which is where it's like why did you draft Trey Lance?
