Is There a Strong Connection Between Political Ruthlessness and Imperialism?

Ruthless dedication to ideals isn't just something abstract, it's embodied and displayed or exhibited in certain individuals who are then seen as models. Lukach was attracted to some of these particularly Lenin or the Hungarian Communist leader. These figures were really ruthless and who presented this picture of absolute strength,. absolute certainty of their own course of action, of their own correctness. So I think that I'm not sure about Lukach’s attitude towards Stalin specifically is a bit hard to, for me at least, hard to really fathom.
