No other country on earth has the system like this. Denmark has some kind of nominal debt limit in its law, but they've raised it so high that it's essentially irrelevant. And then nobody else uses this particular dumb scheme. President Biden was asked whether the US should even have a debt limit. He said, no, no, he said, that would be irresponsible. Are you kidding me?
