The Importance of Signature in Bitcoin Transactions
In Bitcoin, we're dealing with multiple different signatures at the same time. We don't want to sign data which proves that the transaction is valid or that authorizes the transaction. We want to sign the actual decision itself to move the money from A to B. It turns out that because it's just a sort of quirk of history, I guess, that ECDSA, the signature algorithm that we use in Bitcoin, is very easy to take a signature and change it.
