Nick Bostrom: I started reading books the summer before my senior year of high school. He and a few friends met weekly on weekends to discuss business ideas. They came up with an idea for a mobile app that would organize all your book notes, he says. But it never really took root; despite their efforts, social media began to grow. So they knew there was no turning back when people asked them questions about what they were reading.
