How to Communicate Effectively With a Victim

The point of this is to disengage completely, you wouldn't ask it a question. But that is a softening way to get information. You do not validate the claim if you never hold it like it could possibly be true and it's worth defending yourself against. And abusers count on things like this. These unconscious concessions that we make and wanting to defend our character and our nature to be defensive of that.
