The EU's Foreign Agent Act
The US has had a foreign or a foreign agent act in place since 1930s to address Nazi propaganda before World War II. The problem is that it is notoriously abused in the countries that do have them and loved by autocracies such as Russia, who also have one. But what we would suggest is that if they really want to raise transparency, raise the financial disclosure requirements, get that information on who's influencing whom from abroad. It could be based on the example of the transparency registered in EU level.
