The Role of Social Media in Gambling Advertising
Advertising is a really interesting issue and social media in particular. It's arguably difficult to opt out from the advertising online due to that ability for operators to target particular consumer groups so effectively. For 13% of adults we surveyed they said their gambling had actually increased as a result of social media. That was the group that's most at risk there were young males who we know are more likely to engage in risky gambling and they were problem gamblers.
