The time of ezekiel, especially the time of jeremiah, has been marked by false prophets. Every one of them, from the prophet to the priest, deals falsely. They are just taking care of themselves and not living as true priests or real prophets. But we are still given that word of consolation, that here is god who says i myself will seek out my sheep.
