I don't remember Chernav at all, really. I was subscribing to the Hungarian chess magazine through Buschky's shop. And those were sort of my training ground when Wallace Lasky and Bronstein were in their ascendancy. Kamsky would defect when he came to the New York Open. He disappeared into our house in Princeton. His father was a real, you know, was a dubious character. But eventually he spread his wings a little bit and got away from his father. You know, I couldn't hold my own with him. Amen.
