In a traditional village, you know every feature of the landscape as part of a generational memory. That's such a deep human need to be able to be embedded in that way. We don't have that and so instead, we have a substitute: social media. You can kind of be known by posting on Instagram - but at least it's better than sitting alone in your bedroom.
