Philosophy is a way of looking at the world, not just our own experience. But it can lead to existentialism or radical scepticism in some cases. In his meditation descarte says that when i perceive an object outside of me, its unity cannot simply be derived from the senses but has to be a matter of function of the mind. What's more clearly in my perception is not the certainty of the object, because that unity doesn't come through objects. Do you guys remember that argument?
