The Importance of Humility in Liturgies

In theological understanding, we talk about that sometimes using the cross as the image. There is both the vertical encounter with God, the transcendent divine reality of God and then there is the horizontal that recognizes God present in his creation. And I think probably we can't overemphasize one or the other because both demand our full attention. We should be striving for both.
