Is There a Lack of Entry Level UX Research Jobs?

I've noticed as a lot of researchers have that there are a lack of entry level UX researcher roles. To get the experience, you need to have the job to do it. I think what's kind of unique about UX in some ways is like there are problems to be solved all around us.
