How Does Understanding the Background Help Women in the Church?
How has understanding the background helped you to understand some of the prohibition passages women can't teach or exercise a story like or what's going on in Ephesus? How is this your study the first century helped you arrive in an egalitarian position of reading scripture? Yeah. Well, I would say that I can start with those problematic passages, but I also, as historians often do, started with things that are so regular for the people in the ancient world they almost don't even need to emphasize them. It's those kinds of things that I think are also really helpful.
