Is There a Prefered Frame in Modern Physics?

The old, classical ether has come back into modern physics under new guises. We can actually detectthe ther wind of our motion through the microand background radiation. So that quite a number of these sort of ether frame equivalent notions in modern physics. It does give usi that do give us rather a good idea of what kind it really is like. I don't think nature is conspiring to conceal it from us.
