The Importance of Scripture in the Christian Church

In those early centuries there was immediately a tension. very different worldviews than that which we find here in the page of the Scripture. Tertullian came up with the phrase what does Jerusalem have to do with Athens? And ever since then there have been those two sides and everything in between in the Christian church.
