A conservative think tank argued that abortion was the single largest economic event of the past century, more significant than the great depression or the second world war. The essay went on to argue that more population is better because it grows demand and provides labour supply. It just seems like a very bad way of making the argument for a larger population,. which may have merit or not. But hitching it to the argument over what is essentially an issue of women's choice and how they manage their furtility seems unconvincing.
