The Effects of Sealing a Test Tube on Weight Loss
Experiment II consisted of putting a mouse in a hermetically sealed test tube. The mouse lived for three minutes in the tube before he suffocated. No loss of weight was indicated, showing that the weight lost in Experiment I was due to the giving up of matter that could not penetrate glass. Several similar experiments were tried with the same result.
