How I Become a Life Sciences Professional

The Human Genome Project was just wrapping up and there seemed to be an unlimited possibility for the impact on medicine and healthcare. The knowledge of the human genome and the impact on how patients would be treated was something we talked a lot about at GE. Although I was in electrical engineering undergraduate, I did all of my electives in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry thinking that someday I would go into medicine or innovation around medicine.
