The Conflicting Views of Race in Higher Education
People have really conflicting views about how racial diversity should be achieved. People don't like the idea that something like your race or your gender would give you an explicit leg up over someone who had a different race or a different gender. And I think it makes sense that Americans ambivalence and confusion would also be reflected in the polling. When it comes to question wording, there does seem to be some conflicting results.
