The Effect of Parental Presence on Child Anxiety
The research has not shown that there is increased efficacy if parents are actually there. parental satisfaction goes way up if you allow the parents to come back so some things to think about what is your hospital's policy. The most important thing to say is the anesthesia provider needs to be really much in tune and able to change with the situation I've had kids that are totally fine they come into the room and then they totally decompensate completely out of the blue unexpected.
