Joel is a political philosopher at Cambridge named David Runtzeman and he did a series of podcasts a couple years ago called the history of ideas. He's basically just walking through the history of Western thought starting with Thomas Hobbes, Hannah Arentz, Gandhi, Mary Walcraft Stone and some very interesting people along the way.
