The Paradigm of Dating

Most couple formation in the United States before the advent of the internet was done through what they call weak ties. The internet allowed us to expand this circle of potential dating partners to basically complete strangers, right? If you live in New York City, your potential mates are now everyone in NYC. This has changed the paradigm in a lot of ways in that people tend to date concurrently more like you would have kind of two or three irons in the fire.
