The band broke up officially in 19 seven, and they went their separate ways. There was always speculation about whether the band would reunite. But then in 19 80, john lenon was killed, meaning that the four members could never reunite again as a band. The beetles were not just commercially successful, they also represented a huge cultural shift. They were ground breaking in many ways beyond just their influence on popular music.
