There is a phase that happens before the honeymoon phase, not always, but it's possible and that first phase is just fear and panic. Like when I went to Japan, obviously the, I kind of fluctuated between the honeymoonphase and the kind of fear phase. Shell shock comes from World War One where soldiers would experience something called shell shock after bombs had dropped around them. You don't want to go out and have to face this radically different world. At times you just want to stay at home, stay in your safety zone because youDon't know what's going on. Sometimes it was just really exciting and exhilarating and other times it was just scary.
