Governor Cooper's Vote on the Gun Permit Bill
The bill would allow churches that operate as schools during the week to have their security teams carry on the weekend, just like other churches do. Despite representative Reeves's concerns about the question being called, the bill did have three Democrats who voted yes. Governor Cooper has yet to see a veto from his desk. Saturday is the deadline for him to make a decision on those bills.
