The Astronauds Come Out of the Blackout
Mission control and around the world holds their breath until capcom joe kirwin hears from the crew. There's no way of knowing whether or not they've survived. After almost a week in space, the apollo 13 astronauts are safely back on terra firma. Across the planet, people of every nationality are united in relief. But for nassa, there are questions that will need to be answered. How could this disaster have happened in the first place, and how can it be prevented from ever happening again? A congressional hearing is convened to get to the bottom of things.
