The Legend of Carter's Digging in Egypt

By 1921, Lord Carnavon had spent 25,000 British pounds on an excavation in Egypt. He could no longer afford the expenses of archaeology and decided to call it a day. Archaeologist Carter was willing to put his money on the line for one last try at finding Remisees VI from Dynasty 20. According to legend, he made Carnavon an offer: If Carnavon would hold on to the concession, Carter would pay the diggers, fund the supplies, and do everything necessary.
