Is Open Lightning Network Payment a Good Idea?
The Bitcoin aspect of it, when I'm going to onboard the businesses here as part of the Bitcoin Island project, really just doesn't matter. We use TCP IP also, but I never managed to mention that in any of my onboarding either because it's just not part of the conversation. So what we want is like you were saying, all these different companies are collaborating, but they have open lightning QRs. Any wallet can pay any wallet instead of trying to force people inside of a walled garden which is not really helping with the overall Bitcoin vision.
