The Negative Trait of Abu Harayah
Abu Ghorera: Some Sahaba were motivated to spread hadith, and some were too worried about miscoating the Prophet. He says Abu Harayah clearly had this sense of responsibility to disseminate the knowledge that he required from the Prophet. Other companions of the Prophet were demotivated to spread the hadith. They were too anxious about miscoatering the Prophet ﷺ,. so they just didn't relate hadith.
