International Student Mobility From China and to China

The first case China students recruited as 4 in 1,000 by Singapore government and of course that was actually my DFO thesis since the mid-1990s. The majority of these PRC scholars as they were known as PRC scholars were given full scholarships to pursue undergraduate degrees in engineering and science at a peak of recruitment it is estimated that up to 1,000 Chinese students per year are recruited. In return for their academic credentials  Scholars are legally obliged to work in Singapore for 60 years but this 60 is now as a bond the Singapore states intention of appropriating these Chinese students who future human capital.
