Is Technique the Key to Singing Well?

Technique is simply a tool to get there. What you need is to be able to make the sounds you need to make in a consistent manner that's healthy as possible. You don't need to be knocking out high seas if that's not the type of music you do, or if that'snot the voice type you are. There's also this pushing technique that we can transform any voice into just a soaring tenor. That's not exactly true. Now, you can extend your range with technique, but as i've talked about before, range extension as its own goal is a little short sighted. Everything you do should be towards communication.
