The Importance of Cervical Lymphadenopathy in Children

The cervical lymphadenopathy, the absence of cough, fever, and tonsillar, exudates. And is this a test for group A strep or for bacterial pharyngeitis? The big problem in this age group is the carrier rate. So if you just do a rapid test on everybody, including people who probably don't have an infection, you're going to be giving a lot of penicillin or cephalosporin to kids who really just are carriers of Group A strep.
