There's definitely some kind of hierarchy in terms of sweeteners. Honey maple syrup and cocoanut sugar might be our preferred sources of added sugar, because their last process is the same as ordinary sucros. Studies show that children and adults who regularly consume products with these sweeteners consuming more calories throughout the rest of the day and more sugar. Some people don't mind the taste, but I'd rather use lash sugar than replace that sugar with munk a fruit.
