The Politics of Land in the Food Park
The food park project has become a political issue in Amsterdam. A petition was signed 9,000 times to change the planning permission from business park back to agriculture. The area is five meters under sea level and it's one of the lowest places in the city. It also creates a lot of cooling effect on the rest of the city. And then there's another thing is that it's based in a very underprivileged neighborhood.
