The Post-Meritocratic Society

I'm curious, do you think this conversation about what a post meritocratic society looks like? Are they tied into this post neoliberalism conversation or are these just sometimes interesting phenomenon or dynamics happen at the same time we're having conversation with these two different areas. I don't have the strong views on that debate only in the sense that it feels to me a little bit like there's a lot of straw person that's going to stop happening.
