The Problem With Pass-Through Models for Founders
There's no pass-through model so the founder is zero in terms of a performance fee. If you're sitting at a fund where the guy across the whole is stinking the join up you're not going to get your bonus. Barry: I was pleasantly surprised by quite a few examples of founders who did reach into their own pocket to pay their best people.
