Is There a Mechanism Behind a Miracle?

i have wondered and wondered and wondered for so long, what is the mechanism behind someone who a receives the blessing of a miracle? And one time, get this, i'm coming home from italy and rome, and i'm in the airport. And there he is on a phone, chatting in italian, switching italian, english french.
