Christie Ford-Chapen is Associate Professor of 20th Century US Political Business and Economic History. Her book, Ensuring America's Health the Public Creation of the Corporate Health Care System, won the 2016 Ralph Gomory Prize from the Business History Conference. James was complaining about his inability to get pain medication because of ramifications of the war on drugs in the U.S. Christie says she discovered a lot of things about the health care system that were not expecting.
