How to Search for a Small Business

There's a lot of resources out there about buying small businesses. I think two that are often mentioned, they're US focused, but the principles apply quite broadly. UK debt is probably more expensive and amortized quicker than a lot of the other regions in which these books are referenced. Access to debt is a little bit harder in the UK, especially if you're an incoming owner without sector experience. Multiples are generally higher. Would you need businesses with a strong second tier management and how may those managers look depending on the target and your skill set? So these are some of the things you should just really think about so you can make your search a little bit more effective.
