I Miss You When I Blink by Mary Laura Philpot

Mary Laura Philpot's new book is even more personal than the memoir she wrote several years ago. The first time I saw a real copy of it, it was like walking in and seeing my liver on the ground or, you know, my lungs sitting on a table just like, how is that out there? So that happened. And this was not so traumatizing so that you did it again. It does help to have gone through this before, though. Like when I opened the box the other day with the, I got a few little finished copies sent to my house, I did not feel quite so much like, oh, no, my guts are outside my body.
