The Relationship Between Reason and Grace
The new Testament scholar thinks he has a square relationship with Jesus, but it's only in light of the experience that rips away all of this academic knowledge that he's able then to come to some kind of reflection on who it is that Jesus Christ and God are for him. He's reflecting in some ways not just on scripture and tradition, but also on his experience of grace. And I'm not sure, and it's always been something that I've been curious about, how does he square his experience of Grace with reason?
