Book Review - The Civil War - Part 1
The book is formouted like this. The first section is a series of letters or interviews with the top generals from both the union and the confederacy who offer commendation to the service of the chaplains or of the sisters. And then about half the book is devoted to the priests who had served in the civil war. This part of the book is mostly finished because he did it first. He undertook this when he was living in south bend, indiana, ah and he had thes sisters of the holy cross out there help him write it and edit it.
